International Fencer Council (IFC)

Who We Are

The International Fencer Council (IFC) was founded in 2008 as a non-profit dedicated to promoting athletic development and competition within the fencing communities in the United States, their counter-parts in Europe and beyond. We seek to advance the development of competitive, Olympic quality fencers and athletes in addition to providing a positive experience for men and women, assisting them in maturing as responsible, balanced and committed citizens of society. In addition to expanding opportunity for scholastic fencers and athletes of all ages and level, it strives to promote understanding of shared values and interests between America and other cultures world-wide.

The International Fencer Council, Inc. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 c 3.

Why We Are Here

There are limited opportunities for U.S. fencers to train with and  against athletes from around the world in the all age divisions as well as for Seniors and Veterans. International fencing associations only allow the top tier athletes to travel and compete. The IFC brings this opportunity to the other 98% of U.S. Fencers. This will allow for more fencers to develop their skill level in order to win internationally.
